Antique Large Elm Adjustable Bookstand

Large elm library table- or desk-top adjustable reading or bookstand. It is made of four frames adjustable on three ratchets that can each be set into six different positions. There is a shorter ratchet to the bottom frame to allow for a further six positions. Within this large range of angles it is possible to have the top frame horizontal for use as a small table. When closed the frames have hook and eyes to lock to each other. Truly an ingenious piece of craftsmanship.
