Boxed Sterling Silver Sugar Basket and Spoon

Antique English maroon leather boxed sterling silver sugar basket and spoon, the handle is hinged and the bowl is embossed with a flowers and birds motif atop an oval pedestal base, the spoon with similar pattern.  The handle of the basket is hallmarked London 1881. The inside of the box is lined in silk and velvet. The inside top of the box is stamped with the retailer’s name: A & J Thompson, 32 St Nicholas St, Scarborough.
