Antique English Brass and Iron Trivet, Circa 1850

Victorian brass and iron trivet, the brass serpentine-shaped top decorated with heart and spade cutouts, a shaped center cutout, the apron with pierced cross designs, hinged carrying handles at the sides and the cabriole legs are supported by penny feet.  The back legs and stretchers are iron.  Trivets are wonderful to use next to a chair as a drinks stand.
