Brass Lucerne Oil Lamp, Circa 1850

Italian Lucerne oil brass lamp with urn shape oil reservoir, four spouts, three tools on link chains: tweezer, wick pick and snuffer.  The urn and base are richly engraved with bird and foliate designs.  The lamp has been professionally electrified. These lamps were used throughout the Mediterranean in the 18th and 19 centuries.
