Burmese Lacquered Offering Bowl
Burmese black lacquered offering bowl is called a Hsun Kwet. It is unique to Burma and was used to present offerings of food at Buddhist monasteries. There are three bowls and two trays in a circular shape and topped by a stepped lid. The inside is a cinnabar color. The sides are ribbed and sits on six small feet. The bottom bowl would have been used for rice and the others for curries and condiments.
