Chinese Export Famille Rose Mug, Circa 1850

Antique Chinese Export famille rose medallion mug with a partially gilded double-twist handle, decorated with three panels, two of which are palace scenes of women with their children.  The third panel encloses a bird perched on a branch with flowers, a butterfly and an insect on a white background. The top border is of latticework separated with flower heads.  There is also a narrow interior border of flowers and foliate designs.
