Period Chinese Red Lacquered & Gilded Cabinet, 18th Century

Red is the auspicious color of joy and happiness.  The cabinet has  two doors, circular brass lock plates and hinges, decorated in gold leaf with hand painted river and mountain scenes. Iron carrying handles on the sides. Sides and top are lacquered black.
