Egyptian Revival Oak Thebes Stool
Egyptian Revival slated and mitered oak Thebes style stool, attributed to Liberty & Co., London. The legs have distinctive interlocking joints and each stretcher is connected to the seat by four decorative struts; there is also a turned decoration on the legs.
Liberty & Co. began producing the Egyptian style stool in the late 19th century out of flexible plywood and continued making them until about 1919.
