Georgian Mahogany Chest of Drawers, Circa 1790

The rectangular top of the Georgian chest or commode has a thumb nail molded edge above two short and three graduated cock-beaded drawers. It also has unusual original brass swan neck handles with pierced oval back plates and brass shield-shaped escutcheons. The chest is raised on tall shaped bracket feet. It has a beautiful soft warm color and patina and retains the original key.
