Antique Miniature Fishing Creel Bank, Circa 1875

An antique English miniature brass oval fishing creel bank, the hinged top opens to retrieve the coins, woven handles at the sides, the tiny lock consists of two coins, the silver threepence front and back: the one side with the date 1875, a “3” and a crown; the other side with the “young head” of Victoria (1838–87) and the inscription VICTORIA D G BRITANNIAR REGINA F D.  The threepence was valued at 1/80 of a pound.
