Pair of very fine Indian miniature paintings depicting Talas, or rhythms, in gilded frames. Inscribed recto: Srimav tal and Raljitu. Watercolors heightened with gold. Tala is the essence of a cosmic rhythm. The talamara artist deftly uses the various rhythms of music to express human emotions.
