Superb Pair Italian Venetian Baroque Walnut Armchairs, 18th Century

Walnut parcel gilded open armchairs with shaped high backs, expertly carved scrolling frame, carved hand rests with shell patterns, shaped apron with carved shell, cabriole legs front and back with carved shells on the knees, stuff-over serpentine-fronted seat, ending in whorl feet, also with carved shells, upholstered in yellow silk damask.  Probably Venetian.
