Regency Gillows Mahogany Writing Table, Circa 1810

Regency mahogany writing table by Gillows with mottled bottle green gilt-tooled writing surface, two long drawers and two short pen drawers with brass ring handles, raised on slender reeded legs on brass casters. Stamped Waring and  Gillows, Lancaster on the brass locks and an impressed mark of the retailer M. Willson, 68 Great Queen Street (London) on the inside edge of the small drawer.  Retains the original key.
