Set of four original copperplate engravings by Louis-Pierre Baltard (1764-1846) of the different entrances to the Louvre Palace, Paris, in elegant gilded black ebonized frames with mounts and gilded inner border.
Louis-Pierre Baltard was a French architect and engraver and father of Victor Baltard, also an architect, who designed Les Halles. Louis-Pierre’s reputation is chiefly based on his skill in engraving. Among the best known of his plates are the drawings of Paris.
