A Staffordshire Creamware Small Jug with Birds
A charming and delightful small Staffordshire polychrome creamware jug decorated with two oval panels; one with an owl, swan, turkey, peacock, stork, birds eating at a table, the back panel depicts two parrots perched on a tree trunk. The center panel encloses a castle, perhaps the home of the person who ordered the jug? The border around the top and spout has birds and flowers.
